CHICAGO – Chicago State University women's golf head coach Alexis Mihelich will be featured on the show “Golf Chicago TV”, which is shown locally on Comcast SportsNet on Sept. 6 at 12 Noon.
Mihelich will discuss subjects like being chosen as the female model for the world-famous Golden Tee golf video game, working as the golf instructor for the late Bernie Mac and about her current stint as CSU's head coach.
“I am very excited to be featured on Golf Chicago TV which will bring some nice exposure locally to the Chicago State women's golf program,” Mihelich said. “It feels great to receive some publicity for the contributions I have made to the game and for developing players to become better golfers themselves whether it is at the collegiate level or recreational level.”
Golf Chicago TV takes a look on the golf scene in the City of Chicago that includes roundtable discussions, interviews with prominent people in the game, a look at various golf courses and golf equipment. The show is hosted by Fox 32 sports personality Jill Carlson.
Mihelich is currently a member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) as a teaching professional and guided the Cougars to new heights during the 2008-09 season which included tournament titles at IPFW and the University of St. Francis (Ill.).
