Men’s Golf Finishes 14th at Butler Fall Invite

Junior Briano Molinaro recorded a 232 to finish 77th at the Butler Fall Invitational
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Chicago State men’s golf concluded the Butler Fall Invitational with a 14th-place finish after producing a three-day total of 951. The tournament, held at the Eagle Creek Golf Course in Indianapolis, was won by the University of Indianapolis, who posted a team score of 840.
Freshman Lorne Boutte (Chicago, Ill.) recorded a 226 (74-75-77) in the tournament to lead the Cougars and place in a tie for 58th. Fellow freshman Andrew Pleasant (Louisville, Ky.) tied for 67th after shooting a 229 (77-73-79) and junior Briano Molinaro (Chicago, Ill.) finished in a tie for 77th place after tallying a 232 (78-80-74).
Freshman Josh Worley (Calumet City, Ill.) produced a 264 (92-88-84) to place 93rd and sophomore Raymond Morris (Chicago, Ill.) notched a 281 (102-94-85) en route to finishing 95th in the tournament.
Indianapolis’ Seth Fair shot sub-par totals in all three rounds to finish with a 205 (67-68-70) and captured medalist honors.
CSU is back in action on Oct. 13-14 at the Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport Colonial Golf Classic, hosted by Robert Morris (Pa.) at the Montour Heights Country Club in Moon Township, Pa.
