CHICAGO – Chicago State men’s golf finished 12th at the Holiday Inn Colonial Classic, hosted by Robert Morris (Pa.) at the Montour Heights Country Club in Moon Township, Pa., with a team score of 668.
Clarion (Pa.) University earned the team title after posting a two-day score of 601 and posted a 299 in the final round to edge second-place IUPUI by three strokes.
Freshman Andrew Pleasant (Louisville, Ky.) finished second with a score of 145, including a two-under-par 70 in the final round, but fell to Robert Morris’ Joe Kabana in a one-hole playoff to decide medalist honors.
Fellow classmate Lorne Boutte (Chicago, Ill.) tallied a score of 162 (83-79) and placed in a tie for 41st. Junior Briano Molinaro (Chicago, Ill.) placed 55th place after recording a 177 (89-88) for the tournament.
Freshman Josh Worley (Calumet City, Ill.) finished 57th after shooting a 184 (92-92) and senior Josh Appelbaum (Sarasota, Fla.) amassed a score of 204 (102-102) en route to posting a 59th-place showing.
CSU has concluded its fall schedule and will return to action in mid-February.
