HOMEWOOD, Ill.– The Chicago State men's tennis team battled with Wright State but came up on the wrong end of a 5-2 match on Saturday afternoon at Homewood-Flossmor Racquet and Fitness.
Jakov Suler (Zagreb, Croatia/Sportska Gimnazija) earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles and moved his season record to 6-8 on the year at No. 1 and 4-5 in his last 10 matches.
Javier Sanchez Pradillo (Toledo, Spain/) also earned a win at No. 3 singles and has won his last three matches. After dropping the first set, 7-5, Javier Sanchez Padillio won the second set 6-4 and closed it out with a 10-8 tiebreaker.
Jakub's Zamorski's match also went three. Zamorski dominated the first set 6-0 but the Wright's State's Morton came back to take the match with a pair of 6-3. 6-4 wins.
The Cougars also earned a win at No. 1 doubles as Suler and
Jesus Perez Plaza (Madrid, Spain/) won 6-4 but the team dropped the point with losses at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
