MEN'S TENNIS DOWNED BY IPFW

Chicago State's Men's Tennis Team began their spring season this weekend at IPFW in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Senior Sergiu Muresan (Roman, Romania/) scored a victory for the Cougars in singles. He defeated Daniel Cardenas 6-3, 7-6 at No. 2 singles. Senior Mario Noboa (Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador/) loss 6-4, 6-3 to Gerard Guell at No.1 singles. Together Muresan and Noboa lost in doubles 6-1 to Guell and Andrews.

Senior Julian Chavez (Bogota, Colombia) was defeated in singles 6-2, 6-2 by Andres Cobos at No.3 Singles. Freshmen Christian Gonzalez (Mungia, Spain/Larramendi Ikastola) won his singles match 6-4, 7-5 over Carlos do Val. Chavez and Gonzalez doubles match went unfinished...

Playing at No. 5 singles, Luis Ulloa (Guayaquil, Ecuador) lost 6-1, 6-0 to Karl Wangensten-Oye. Freshmen Rohan Wattley (Slough, United Kingdom/Burnham) lost his singles match 6-4, 6-4 against Connor Andrews...

Wattley and Rashley Yeremia (Jakarta, Indonesia) played doubles together but were defeated 6-2 by Cobos and Cardenas.
