IPFW Takes Down CSU Men's Tennis 7-0

– The IPFW Mastodons took care of the Chicago State Men's Tennis team 7-0 on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 25). 
 
During singles competition, Daniel Kang took down junior Sergiu Muresan (Roman, Romania/) 6-3, 6-1 while Jonathan Raa beat freshman Uros Pajic (Smederevo, Seribia/Maple Valley) 6-3, 6-3.  Junior Julian Chavez (Bogota, Colombia/) suffered a 6-0, 6-0 defeat to Andres Cobos. Junior Mario Noboa (Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador/) came home with a 6-4, 6-4 loss. Junior Luis Ulloa (Guayaquil, Ecuador/) lost 6-1, 6-1 to Martin Muadi while Karl Wangensten-Oye defeated junior Rashley Yeremia (Jakarta, Indonesia/) by the same score. 
 
In doubles play, Daniel Kang and Andres Cobos won 6-1 over juniors Sergiu Muresan (Roman, Romania/) and Mario Noboa (Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador/) while Martin Muadi and Gerard Guell won by the same score over juniors Luis Ulloa (Guayaquil, Ecuador/) and Rashley Yeremia (Jakarta, Indonesia/). Freshman Uros Pajic (Smederevo, Seribia/Maple Valley) and junior Julian Chavez (Bogota, Colombia/) lost 6-2 to Jonathan Raa and Karl Wangesten-Oye. 
 
The Cougars fell to 0-4 in the spring season while IPFW improved 1-2. Chicago State hosts their first home match of the season next Sunday (Feb. 2) against Eastern Illinois. The match is set to begin at 9:00 AM CT.
