Matthew Jordan Captures Fourth Place at Bradley XC Open

Junior Matthew Jordan captured fourth place to pace CSU at the Bradley Cross Country Open
CHICAGO – Junior Matthew Jordan (Suffield, OH/Field) (Mogadore, Ohio) led the Chicago State men's cross country team with a fourth-place finish on Sept. 9 at the Bradley Cross Country Open at Detweiler Park in Peoria, Ill.
 
The two-year letterwinner produced a time of 20:10 in the six-kilometer race to finish 10 seconds behind BU's Marshall Moyer, who captured in the individual title with an even time of 20 minutes.
 
Junior Samuel McKinney (St. Charles, Iowa/Interstate 35) (St. Charles, Iowa) followed Jordan by finishing 26th in the race with a time of 21:25, while freshman Brandon Skelding (Black River Falls, Wis./Black River Falls) (Black River Falls, Wis.) placed 35th at a time of 21:57.
 
Junior Michael Chew (Klang Selangor, Malaysia/Taylors University College) (Klang Selangor, Malaysia), senior Joseph Hill, Jr. (Chicago, Ill.) and sophomore Malcolm Phillip (Virgin Islands/St. Croix Complex) (U.S. Virgin Islands) also competed in the meet for CSU.
 
The Green and White travel to Normal this Friday afternoon to compete in the annual Illinois Intercollegiate Championships, hosted by Illinois State.
