CHICAGO – Chicago State University will host the 2013 Great West Conference Basketball Tournaments Thursday, March 14 to Saturday, March 16 at the Jones Convocation Center on Chicago State's campus.
The Chicago State men are the No. 3 seed and will play No. 2 seed Texas-Pan American in the semifinals on Friday (March 15) at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The Chicago State women are the No. 4 seed and host No. 5 seed Houston Baptist on Thursday (March 14) in the opening round on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The GWC Championship games will be played on Saturday (March 16). The women's championship will start at 4:00 p.m. CT and the men's will follow at 7:30 p.m. CT. The winner of the men's tournament will receive an automatic bid to the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament.
Should either Chicago State teams advance to the Championship on Saturday the game will be aired live on Lakeshore Public Television. All men's games can be heard on WVON 1690 AM.
