KETTERING, Ohio – Freshman Andrea Rosado (Ponce, P.R.) posted her third consecutive top-10 finish as Chicago State women’s golf placed seventh after the final round of the Dayton Fall Invitational here today at the NCR Country Club’s North Golf Course.
The Cougars ended the tournament with a two-day score of 668 and finished ahead of IUPUI, the host Flyers and Valparaiso. Cincinnati won the team title with a score of 624 that included a 154 by Kate Moore, who had to win a sudden-death playoff to win medalist honors.
Rosado placed in a tie for seventh place after carding a two-day total of 159 and tallied a 77 in the final round of competition, while freshman Sophie Shearer (Lytham, St. Annes, England) shot a 166 (84-82) to finish tied for 26th place.
Senior Tessa Harp (Valencia, Calif.) notched a 171 (89-82) for the tournament to finish tied for 35th place. Sophomore Brittany Johnson (Golden, Colo.) produced a two-day score of 175 (89-86) to earn a 45th-place finish.
Freshman Diana Flores (Torreon, Coah, Mexico) concluded the scoring by carding a total score of 176 (86-90) to place in a tie for 46th place.
CSU concludes the fall portion of its schedule at the Texas-Pan American Fall Invitational in Edinburg, Texas on Nov. 1-3.
