CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference office has released the 2008 Academic All-MAC Men’s Tennis Team. Senoir
Prakoso Imanuel was selected to the ten-man team, the league office announced Wednesday.
The team is the result of voting by the faculty athletic representatives at the MAC's member tennis institutions sponsoring the sport.
Imanuel finished the season with a 9-13 overall record in No. 1 singles action. The highlight of the season for Imanuel came at the Lewis Fall Invitational, where he placed third overall. He also received the Health, Physical Education & Recreation Merit Award at the 2008 CSU Honors Convocation.
In the classroom, Imanuel maintains a 3.22 cumulative grade-point average, majoring in Recreation (GPA through fall, 2007, semester).
The Academic All-MAC honor goes to student-athletes who have excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50% of the contests for that particular sport. First year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award. Outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments from the current season only are considered.
